Guest Professorship: Associate Professor Uta Wille

As part of the ISAP Exchange funded by DAAD, Associate Professor Uta Wille from the University of Melbourne (Melbourne School of Chemistry) will teach as a guest professor in the Institute for Chemistry between the 4th and 15th of December.

Associate Professor Uta Wille graduated with a PhD in Science at the University of Kiel, Germany, in 1993. She teaches at the Melbourne School of Chemistry since January 2003, when she was appointed as a Lecturer. In 2006, she was promoted to Senior Lecturer and in 2011 to Associate Professor and Reader at the same institution.

Professor Wille was a Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Free Radical Chemistry and Biotechnology. Her research program targets the chemistry of reactive intermediates by merging radicals of atmospheric importance with organic, bio-organic and material chemistry.

The exchange with the University of Melbourne funded by DAAD has two important levels: on the one hand, an exchange of lecturers via short guest professorships; and on the other hand, an exchange of students, which is planned for the next winter term.
