Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences - Chemistry Education

Teaching

The courses offered in Chemistry Education include the compulsory courses leading to a bachelor's and, later on, master's degree, and yet some additional courses for students finishing their studies according to the former curriculum.

The courses of study are aimed at two different groups: First, at students who have to be trained in Chemistry Education through empirically and theoretically well-founded issues relating to practical experience, and, later on, at teachers who would like to hone their skills by training off the job. Therefore, the courses are characterized by three principles:

1. Combination of theory and practical experience;
2. Impartment of basic knowledge, but also of insights in issues and results in on-going chemical and educational research;
3. Methods and possibilities of training off the job.
