Gold(I) N-Fluoroamido Complexes
The Braun group synthesized a unique fluoroamido gold complex from a fluorido precursor. Subsequently, the transfer of the fluoroamido moiety to organic molecules was achieved to provide a route to N-fluoroamine derivatives. The latter can be applied as electrophilic fluorinating agents. In general, fluorinated building blocks are of interest due to their application in materials science as well as pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
