• Joachim Sauer - Member of the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science

Joachim Sauer has been elected a member of the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science
Among the IAQMS members ( are pioneers of quantum chemistry as Clementi, Fock, Roothaan, Pople, and our honorary doctor Reinhard Ahlrichs (verst. 2016). Joachim Sauer is the first member from Berlin after Jaroslav Koutecky (FU Berlin) deceased in 2005.

• Prof. Dr. Philipp Adelhelm nominated "Falling Walls Finalist" 2021

Prof. Dr. Philipp Adelhelm is nominated as a "Falling Walls Finalist" for the title "Science Breakthrough of the Year" (Physical Sciences) for his research on alternative battery cells. Winners will be announced within the next few days.

• Junior Award for Dr. Anselm Schneider

Anselm Schneider enabled several (literal) breakthroughs in his doctoral thesis in the Hackenberger laboratry (FMP), most importantly to enable the cellular delivery of proteins and antibodies into living cells. For his achievements, he was recognized with the junior award 2021 of the Max-Bergmann Circle. Well done, Anselm!

• Several awards for Dr. Marc-André Kasper

After studying chemistry at the HU Berlin, Marc-André joined the Hackenberger lab at FMP for his doctoral studies. For his results on developing new reactions for the modification of antibodies he was recently awarded the Disseration-Award of the GDCh Biochemistry Division and the Humboldt-Preis 2020 of the HU Berlin. Now he continues to use his results to develop new antibody-conjugates to enhance cancer therapy in the start-up Tubulis. Congratulations Marc!
