"Synthesis of nucleic acid-derivatives for the detection of cancer specific RNA"

Responsibilities

We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated PhD candidate for a thesis in the research project "TRIGGDRUG (ERC-Advanced Grant, SP3) in the area of organic and bioorganic synthesis of nucleic acid-derivatives for the detection of cancer specific RNA. The project involves template-mediated transfer reactions for the generation of small molecules and reactivity/biological activity studies. It includes organic and bioorganic synthesis and analytics, collaborative work (cell studies) and tasks for scientific qualification (phd/dissertation). Requirements

Completed academic university degree (master or equivalent) in the area of organic chemistry with very good results. Experience in bioorganic synthesis and analytics, preferably peptide/oligonucleotide synthesis and analytics. The ideal candidate has experiences in cell studies and interdisciplinary research approaches. Very good English skills, capability of interdisciplinary work.
